“ I've always had my favorite go-to place on Staten Island for Italian so wasn't that excited to try here. I have to say it was one of the best meals start to finish that I have had in a while. Service was great and not rushed. Food was delicious, the pasta was incredibly fresh. Just an overall great meal. Highly recommend ”
“ Don Cheech is a hidden gem that is not talked about enough. I went there for the first time and both the food experience and service experience were exceptional. They start tables with an assortments of bread paired with a tomato compote which was new was refreshing to me. The dinner me and my wife ordered were well above average and cooked perfectly. Pasta, perfect Al dente. Chicken, moist and flavorful. Seafood, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I'm upset I didn't have room for dessert to try. On top of the amazing food, our waiter was friendly and cracking jokes with us and was super informative regarding recommendations. All this in a tiny little corner spot with a warm and cozy feeling. I will be going back and advise you to try it as well! ”

“ Stopped into this restaurant after a nearby visit to the Alice Austen Museum. It was our first visit to Staten Island and it did not disappoint. We had the margherita pizza and spaghetti with clams. Great, classic flavors. Pizza was yummy and pasta was perfectly al dente (the clams tasted fresh too). It has a kind of 'date night' atmosphere that's unmistakable. The staff was also super nice. ”

“ The moment you walk into the restaurant you are greeted with big smiles and wonderful aromas. The service was very friendly but not well informed. The food however was outstanding. I had the ossobuco and it was tender and delicious. My wife had the chicken. ”
“ 9/27/23... As you know I get together quarterly with 2 childhood friends. One buddy has been talking about Don Cheech since our last S.I. visit. For drinks, a couple of espresso martinis was a nice way to get our evening started. Just one for me as it was potent.:) Appetizers- We shared two. That being buffalo mozzarella & Prosciutto plus calamari with cherry peppers. Nice kick on that one. Our entrees were Double cut pork chops, chicken Marsala and veal scaloppino sorrentino. My veal dish was excellent. Dinner portions are pretty large. Our server (Jose) answered all our questions about the menu, including our drinks. Dessert, 2 pistachio gelatos and a strawberry cheesecake which was very light. It's a newer place that has Chef Massimo running the show. Just a note, for dinner you will drop some serious coin. Looks like they have a pretty good outside patio and they offer a weekend brunch. Enjoy ”
